You’ve probably already realised that house rewiring can be quite a chaotic experience for homeowners. County Electrical Services aim to provide a quality service with as little destruction and inconvenience to residents as possible. Before we start any house rewire we will discuss your specific needs with you in great detail (i.e. Do you need additional sockets, additional lighting, outside lighting or any other options?). This ensures you will be completely happy before any works commence.
Where possible we aim to ensure all cables are hidden and concealed under floors or within the loft spaces of your property. However, all properties vary and as such this inevitably means we will need to chase into the brickwork/plasterboard of your walls too and unfortunately this can be very messy. Electrical cables will then lead from your consumer unit and will be terminated at every socket or light within that circuit.
NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme is for electrical contractors undertaking design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations to BS 7671.
NICEIC’s Domestic Installer Scheme has been approved to register installers to Full Scope or Defined Competence for domestic electrical installation work in accordance with Part P Building Regulations.
Believe it or not you can help too… Preparation for any home rewire is essential. If your home is empty or unoccupied there will probably be little or no preparation necessary. However if your property is still occupied it is advisable to clear as much space as possible ready for our arrival. We can help with moving larger/bulky items but smaller objects would be best put away before we start. Don’t worry, we can provide as many dust sheets as need be.
Any wall chasing will most likely need re-plastering. It is impossible to get completely flawless walls after chasing unless you re-skim the entire wall with plaster. County Electrical Services are confident we can finish your walls to a very high standard ready for painting. However, if you do require a complete re-skim of walls we can quote for this. All our work is fully guaranteed, we are NIC EIC Domestic Installers and an NIC EIC certificate is issued with every completed job. Be cautious of any electrician not prepared to offer this!
